Kelcie Morris of Hagerstown Maryland has been competing in USA Gymnastics since 1998 at the age of 7. Kelcie’s first year in competition won her the overall Maryland State Championships. From there she continued to prefect her skills and moved up the levels. Currently Kelcie is a Level 10 gymnast and has competed in the US and International meets.

In 2004 Kelcie competed in the Alsterpokla Innovational (Germany)  as a junior placing 1st in the All Around and helping her team win the 1st Place award. Again in 2005 Kelcie competed in the Alsterpokla Innovational, in the senior division placing 3rd All Around.

Kelcie is a remarkable gymnast, with plenty of perseverance and talent. Last year was a tough year, going through elbow surgery and a recovery period. She continued to practice maintaining a rigid cardio routine and working skills without the use of her arms. Kelcie was able to compete at the 2007 Maryland State Championships on only 2 events due to her surgery, since she still could not use her arms. She was cleared by the doctors in July 2007, and has been training non-stop through the summer, picking up where she left off.

This coming competitive season looks promising, Kelcie is back to full form and has perfected some new skills for this competitive season.
